Operational IoT in action

The Internet of Things (IoT) is getting a lot of press at the moment. Most of the time it’s the technologies that are grabbing all the headlines – whether they’re advances in instrumentation that can generate more and more sensor data; or processing and storage innovations that can ingest and analyse vast streams of it in real time.

However, there’s much less discussion and insight relating to how organisations are putting IoT technologies to work today. How are IoT technologies generating value in business operations and making a difference?

The aim of this focused project is to understand how organisations are currently working with smart, connected devices and sensors to drive operational improvements, and the benefits and challenges being uncovered along the way.

The first phase of this project is an online survey.
