Thus, more affordable vehicles in comparison to traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
• The policy stresses the importance of encouraging innovative business models and minimizing investment risks in the necessary infrastructure. This approach aims to invite private sector involvement and secure cost-effective financing.
• It also highlights the significance of reusing swappable batteries after their initial lifecycle and ensuring the recycling of batteries at the end of their lifespan.
• The policy proposes the establishment of distinct identification codes for ACC batteries covered under these guidelines.
• Furthermore, these guidelines set up a structural framework to facilitate the practical deployment of battery-swapping facilities and achieve the outlined policy goals.
• The focus of these guidelines is to promote battery swapping mainly for light electric power train vehicles (LEV) in category L, as well as E-Rickshaws and ECarts.
  It is important to note that this policy will be effective from its public announcement date until March 31, 2025. The Ministry of Power will review and potentially extend them after this period.
