HiMSS 2017: Lake Nona Medical City Tour

Technology is opening the door for healthcare service innovation. To improve the patient experience, facilities are digitally transforming their operations for a more coordinated healthcare experience for both the patient and the clinician.
At HiMSS this year in Orlando, Florida, attendees will get the opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at some facilities who have embraced digital systems and are leading their fields in clinical intelligence.
On Wednesday, February 22nd a bus tour will provide the chance to tour two healthcare facilities in the Lake Nona Medical City. You’ll see the latest innovation in medical technology reshaping how healthcare providers serve their patients.
The first stop of the tour is Nemours Children’s Hospital, a national leader in pediatric health systems. Here, registrants will be exposed to Nemours’ unique approach to patient care.
Afterward, registrants will move to the VHA SimLEARN Center where patient treatment areas are replicated in a life-like environment to be used for training, with examples including an outpatient clinic setting as well as an inpatient/hospital setting. The Center is the operation hub of all national VHA simulation activities.
These tours have both morning and afternoon time slots available, however, space is limited and filling up quickly. Registration for the tour is completed through the HiMSS registration page which can be found here. The cost to attend this event is $65.
