HIMSS 2017: Digital Transformation for Healthcare

Once again, I had the pleasure of attending the HIMSS conference, this year in Orlando, and was blown away by the plethora of impressive IT advances being made in the healthcare space.
This year in particular, as people look at the changes that have already happened in healthcare and the uncertainty of what’s to come, the conference was more alive than ever. These changes include, but are not limited to: potential changes ahead for the Affordable Care Act, the use of telemedicine/telehealth, robotic process automation/machine learning, and coordinated care for patients were all prominently showcased as the way forward to ensure all patients receive the best possible care.
As consumers face increased choice within the healthcare industry, and thus each organization faces increased competition, Appian showcased several features of our Digital Transformation platform at HIMSS, including:
