This post Decision-Making: How to Determine the Best Possible Choices defines decision-making as “the process by which people come to actionable decisions after a careful consideration of the facts and values of the situation and parties involved. Decision-making could either be rational or irrational, and every decision-making process results in a final choice, which would either prompt an action, or not“. Contrary, problem solving “is using creativity and discovery to determine all possible courses of action after carefully examining the information provided. Problem solving is considered by many as a step toward decision-making, hence, the information gathered and solutions provided are used in decision-making.” Link
