CyberLogitec Proactively Meets Customers’ Logistics Needs with TIBCO StreamBase

With 90 percent of its global customers outside of its home country of Singapore, CyberLogitec runs a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week logistics business. As a global leader in the maritime, port, and logistics industry, it provides flexible, end-to-end solutions and consulting services to help customers address operational challenges, improve visibility, and meet industry demands.
CyberLogitec’s primary challenge was to automate its shipping terminal operations, of which 91 percent still used manual operations. The company also wanted to gain more insight into the location and movement of its equipment in real time. To solve this problem, CyberLogitec needed an IoT solution that would connect its edge devices, while providing an easy-to-understand user interface for customers.
To meet these increasing requirements, CyberLogitec turned to TIBCO StreamBase streaming analytics for workflow programming and processing of real-time streaming data from terminals around the world. Now, CyberLogitec has full visibility of the data from its terminals in real time, including equipment status and operational conditions — managed by only three developers.
TIBCO StreamBase has allowed CyberLogitec to reduce its delivery time from 10 months to two months. With the elimination of unplanned downtime, CyberLogitec is able to expand its functionality, offering customers more options, both in infrastructure and functionality. Lastly, CyberLogitec’s developers and business analysts can see the big picture of how their tools work together, allowing them to react proactively to make better, faster decisions.
Looking to the future, CyberLogitec intends to adopt machine learning and real-time analysis to enable predictive maintenance on its terminal equipment. It is also looking to implement TIBCO Flogo to handle enhanced edge computing in the cloud.
