Decision Management (DM) quickly becomes the critical methodological and technological approach to support decision making processes in different industries. Nowadays business analysts and developers worldwide, technology vendors and consultants, decision makers at all enterprise levels become DM practitioners who actively use Decision Management technologies such as:
· Business Rules
· Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics
· Business Intelligence
· Decision Optimization.
New operational decision management systems integrate traditional process diagrams, business rules, events, and corresponding actions directing them towards the common goal – a better business decision! The new standard “Decision Model and Notation (DMN)” brings decision modeling to a new level resulting in a clear business target and supporting interoperability required by modern enterprise architectures.
It is only natural that the International Web Rule Symposium (RuleML), well-known for building bridges between academia and industry in the field of rules and its applications, this year will also host a decision management event.
Together with the organizers of the DecisionCAMP and DMCommunity.org, RuleML 2016 will include a one day “DecisionCAMP at RuleML” with presentations from leading decision management authorities, vendors, and practitioners. We expect that this event will summarize the current state of the DM practice, the use of the DMN standard, real-world business cases and their solutions provided using various DM tools.
Incentives for industry participation in the DecisionCAMP include:
· Learn about new trends in DM technologies, and how they can be used to address business problems
· Present practical results for use of various decision management technologies in business settings
· Exchange experiences about business cases for the DMN and use of decision management technologies
