World Quality Report 18-19: Unraveling the key trends in QA and testing
Blog: Capgemini CTO Blog
The World Quality Report (WQR) 2018 has entered its tenth edition this year. The report puts forth its findings basis the responses received from 1,700 surveyed respondents across 10 sectors from 32 countries.
Our research findings indicate that “end-user satisfaction” is the top objective of quality assurance and software testing strategy. Software testing efficiencies are challenged by low levels of automation and test data environment which hold back the quality assurance. Our report also states that the skill sets required for quality assurance and testing have also changed.
The World Quality Report 2018 recommends that organizations should increase the level of basic and smart test automation in a smart and phased manner. A non-siloed approach for the test environment and data provisioning should be implemented by firms. Organizations should also improve tracking to optimize quality assurance and software testing spends. A testing approach in keeping the artificial intelligence (AI) solutions in focus should also be adopted.
