I’m really starting to get pumped up
for Enterprise World
this year. It is being held on
November 11th through the 13th at the Swan and Dolphin resort in
Orlando, and I am looking forward to spending time with our
customers, and sharing our new products and vision for BPM. Besides
all the sessions and demos our teams are now preparing for
attendees, we have comedian Martin Short scheduled to entertain us
on Wednesday morning which will be fantastic. He is one of the
funniest men on the planet if you ask me.
The BPM track will have something for
everyone at the event. We’re hosting over 16 tracks for both
business and technical audiences, and we’ve lined up Maureen Fleming
who heads BPM and Middleware Research at IDC to provide her
perspectives on the market, technologies, and future of BPM.
Last year, we saw how our customer
speakers and case studies were very popular with attendees. So this
year, we’ve cranked it up with 8 customer-led sessions, a customer
roundtable in the BPM mini-keynote, and also a very intimate and
interactive customer roundtable discussion. And with our networking
events, there will be plenty of opportunities for our BPM customers
to get to know each other, share their strategies, and learn from
one another.
We also know attendees want to see
software in action so we’ll have 6 demo pods showing the Process
Suite, Process Component Library, and our solutions. Our demo
experts will be walking attendees through our new Contract
Management solution, Case Management capabilities, Procurement
Management solution, Supply Chain Efficiency solutions, mobile
tools, and a host of other products and technologies. It will be a
great opportunity to learn, but more importantly, see
where OpenText is going with BPM.
Things are really coming together,
and this year’s Enterprise World is shaping up to be a very
informative, insightful, and fun event for our customers. In the
words of Martin Short’s Ed Grimley character: “It’s going to be totally decent, I must say.”
