In the implementation of an organizational change, everyone has a role.  In fact, many people have more than one role.  Gaining clarity around roles and responsibilities is a basic but critical step for implementation success. 

Don Harrison, founder of the Accelerating Implementation Methodology (AIM) likes to call the Who’s Who of organizational change a CAST of characters.  The four roles of Champions, Agents, Sponsors and Targets each has a distinct job to do in implementing change projects:
