Then, Sami Cheong, Data Science Technical Lead at Bayer Crop Science, discussed a data science use case for Bayesian spatial hierarchical modeling within Bayer’s research and development pipeline. Use cases include tracking when and what data to collect from testing fields, checking the quality of data collected, and promoting the best seed varieties to the market.

Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti (HULA): “The Smart Hospital: Improving Cancer Care by Understanding the Patient Journey”

Data scientist and business analyst David Baltar Boilève at Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti (HULA) in Galicia, Spain, discussed an innovative collaborative project the organization is undertaking with TIBCO.
