TUI Group Wins a TIBCO Trailblazer Transformer Award

TIBCO Trailblazer Awards recognize individuals and businesses who have accomplished substantial business results using TIBCO technology, and demonstrated ingenuity and thought leadership in meeting the demands of the digital consumer. At TIBCO NOW 2016, TUI Group, a multinational travel and tourism company, received the Transformer award for using the TIBCO Fast Data platform to drive digital transformation through real-time system connectivity.
TUI wanted to enhance its customer experience by transforming system connectivity to allow real-time response to customer needs. Using the Fast Data platform comprised of TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks, TIBCO BusinessEvents, TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM, and TIBCO Spotfire, the company created new channels to engage and serve customers, including a new mobile app, TUI Digital Assistant. Customer satisfaction surged to 9 on a scale of 10, while the cost savings of implementation came in 25% below budget.
“TUI wants to serve its customers in a very individual way and provide very personalized offers based on where they are in their journey,” said Heinz Kreuzer, CEO of TUI InfoTec. “We have to be quite fast to react to customer needs, and this does not allow long development processes. We have to analyze information in real time, and as soon as we have the result, take the right action. Our internal users need to control processes and customize the system without deep IT involvement. That means that TIBCO Fast Data with real time analytics is key.”
