Accenture Announces Details on its AI Refinery for Industry
Accenture has announced details on AI Refinery for Industry, which includes a collection of twelve industry agent solutions capable of helping organizations build and deploy a network of AI agents. These agents can enhance the workforce, address industry-specific challenges, drive business value, and more. These industry-specific solutions are powered by the Accenture AI Refinery. They are codified with business workflows and industry expertise, enabling teams to accelerate the deployment of specialized, multi-agent networks.
Celonis and Rollio Launch a New AI Agent
Celonis, a process mining and intelligence solution provider, has announced a new AI agent to improve collaborative decision-making and maximize overall process optimization. The Celonis Process Collaboration Agent is powered by Rollio, a leader in developing Conversational AI Platforms, and aims to help teams work from a single, shared source of truth. It does this by resolving process exceptions through agent-assisted, inter-department collaboration from a natural language interface. The new agent will be released as part of AgentC, Celonis’ evolving suite of AI agent tools, integrations, and partnerships.
Rootstock Software Provides Details on Rootstock Scion, a New ERP Reseller
Rootstock Software, a manufacturing ERP solution provider, has announced a partnership with Rootstock Scion, a recently established reseller that focuses on meeting the ERP needs of manufacturing and supply chain organizations. The new agreement is a strategic step forward for Rootstock Software, as it will help it expand into a larger enterprise client marketplace. Scion, launched by former Rootstock CEO David Stephans, will focus on English-speaking markets in the USA, Canada, and the UK. Additionally, Deloitte Digital will function as Scion’s primary implementation and support provider.
SAP Releases Several New Solutions for the Retail Industry
SAP, an enterprise application software provider for companies across industries, has announced a collection of new solutions and capabilities that cater to the retail sector. The most significant launch announced is the general availability of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, an ERP solution built specifically for retailers. Other releases include a loyalty management solution and the general availability of an AI shopping assistant. The announcements were made at Retail’s Big Show, a flagship industry event hosted by the National Retail Federation.
Unit4 Appoints Simon Paris as CEO
Unit4, an enterprise cloud application provider for people-centric organizations, has announced that Simon Paris has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Paris will succeed Mike Ettling, who will hand over the reins at the end of January 2025. In the press release announcing his appointment, Paris says, “As we embark on this next chapter, I am committed to building on Unit4’s strengths, driving sustainable growth, and creating even greater value for our customers, partners, and stakeholders. I look forward to working closely with the talented team and hope to meet as many as possible in my first few months.”
