Top 4 ARIS Process Mining enhancements in ARIS 10 SR20

In the ARIS 10 SR20 release, you will find a set of new features that will help you overcome challenges even better. Read further and get to know them!

1. The Best of Both Worlds: Embed your KPIs into your Models

In recent years, we have seen increasing pressure on c-level managers to make efficient decisions to accommodate dynamic business conditions. Now you don’t need to lose the context of the process model to make an analysis that helps you adapt to those market changes. Thanks to “Process Mining Overlay”, Process Mining KPIs information can be overlaid on top of models, allowing process models to be analyzed from a data perspective.

By applying ad-hoc filters, such as specific countries or time ranges, or activating or deactivating the predefined KPIs, ARIS BPA users can easily display and analyze the model’s performance and get additional insights into process behavior without having any knowledge of Process Mining.

The new feature enables quick identification of areas for improvement and assists in identifying process issues before they become serious problems affecting operations.

2. What Fact Tables Can Do For You in Data Modeling – Discover endless analysis options

Fact tables are an efficient way to model one-to-many relationships between a case and its activities. They give you endless analysis options, for example, in the case of many invoices belonging to a purchase order. If we did a mapping based on the purchase order, the data would have to be calibrated multiple times, leading to inaccurate data.

By introducing Fact Tables into the data model, we have found an efficient way to model one-to-many relationships, providing a wider scope of analysis.

This enables aggregate attributes over unique objects only, e.g., the total amount of invoices for selected purchase orders, where a single invoice is counted only once as a unique object.

3. Quickly script KPI and Dimension fields using the new code editor

In this release, we’ve introduced a new code editor that makes adding calculated columns to your analysis model even easier. You can define them directly in the App Builder and use them continuously throughout your dashboard.

Now, you can:

• Define new calculated columns in the App builder.

• Compute those KPIs without reloading them and use them directly; and

• Define variables that can be used throughout your analysis.

For an ad-hoc calculation, you do not need to go back and recalculate the columns. Instead, leverage the convenience of using it right inside the app builder.

4. Export your process mining data in just a few clicks to be used with other tools.

Are you ready to take your process mining data to the next level?

In this release, you can now download your process mining data and KPIs from the dashboard. This is a huge step forward for process mining research because it allows you to export data quickly, and reuse it in any other tool.

These are the Top 4 enhancements for process mining in the ARIS 10 SR20 release.
