Co-sponsored by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) and BPM.com, these annual awards recognize the best implementation projects for innovative BPM and workflow solutions worldwide.
The Ministry of the Interior of Colombia successfully completed the complex project to automate Religious Affairs processes without needing to program a single line of code.
The online processes came into operation on the AuraPortal iBPMS platform eliminating the confusion that surrounded the difficult access to information on religious entities.
Both the Ministry and citizens are pleased with the results.
the average completion time for the entire process has reduced from 15 days (before the software implementation) to 1 minute. Furthermore, management costs have reduced by an average of 80%, thanks to workflow coordination and the automation of the majority of the process activities.
In addition to the quantifiable benefits, such as time and cost savings and quality improvement, the implementation of AuraPortal has achieved other benefits that, although may not be quantifiable, are just as important, such as: closing the gap between the government and the citizens, The fight against corruption, Transparency, Less Paperwork, Optimization of civil servant activities
Nathaniel Palmer, WfMC Executive Director and Editor of BPM.com commented, “Hundreds of hours have been invested by our judges to ensure that only the highest quality of case studies met the benchmarks we set and this year did not disappoint. The rigorous criteria involve not only technical achievement but also business impact and process innovation. This year’s winners represent the best of BPM across the globe.”
