Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) recently notified October 1, 2020 as the date for roll-out of e-invoicing requirement for B2B supplies by companies having turnover exceeding INR 500 Crores. We have been receiving several inputs from our members requesting us to represent on an extension of the October 1st timeline owing to several challenges and issues being faced including the following:
- Impact of lockdown due to spread of Covid-19 on business functions making it difficult to implement e-invoicing on scheduled date.
- Revised APIs being available on 27 August 2020 – this updated APIs did factor changes post representation by NASSCOM
