Oracle Announces 2019 Project Leader Awardees

Every year, Oracle recognizes employees throughout the world who engage their colleagues in projects that advance education, protect the environment, and strengthen communities. Here are the Oracle Volunteering Project Leader Awardees for FY2019.
North America
Greg Green—Salt Lake City, Utah
While working remotely can make rallying Oracle Volunteers challenging, Greg is consistently successful at engaging his colleagues in projects. His FY19 projects included supporting Millie’s Princess Foundation at its 5K run to raise funds for children with cancer, organizing a group of colleagues walk in the Salt Lake City Pride Parade, and braving chilly waters in a Polar Plunge for Special Olympics.
Latonia Williams—Morrisville, North Carolina
As a Project Leader, Latonia often focuses her projects on STEM-education and tackling hunger issues. Her FY19 projects included working with students through Innovate Your Cool, an event that introduced youth to coding through interactive sessions and live science demos. She also organized multiple collection drives for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.
Asia Pacific
Mohamad Rizal Arryadi—Jakarta, Indonesia
Rizal is always on the lookout for ways he and his colleagues can get involved in Jakarta and the surrounding community. In FY19, he organized blood drives to support The Indonesian Red Cross Society and facilitated STEM-education workshops for individuals who have had to leave school.
Prasant Pradhan—Bangalore, India
Whether leading a group to clean up trash along the shores of the Humilavi Lake with INDU Foundation, bringing smiles to the faces of children with cancer through games and music, or mobilizing volunteers to support a polio immunization drive, Prasant’s commitment to the community through the Oracle Volunteering program is inspirational.
Europe, Middle East, and Africa
Joy Marshall—Reading, United Kingdom
Macmillan Cancer Support and the individuals it serves have a friend in Joy. From organizing trivia events like the Mammoth Quiz, to overseeing Coffee Morning bake sales, Joy is a passionate advocate for those whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
Elena Vilalta—Madrid, Spain
Elena is the driving force behind a series of Oracle Volunteering projects that offer fun and engaging STEM-education opportunities to girls who may not otherwise have access. Additionally, in FY19, Elena teamed up with Junior Achievement to host students at Oracle for mentoring and career exploration sessions.
Latin America
Roberto Puga—Guadalajara, Mexico
Roberto has played a key role in increasing Oracle Guadalajara’s community engagement in tandem with its growing employee population. In FY19, Roberto organized a gardening workshop for children from a local orphanage and set up a collection drive and kit packing activity to provide new mothers with basic necessities like diapers, blankets, and toiletries.
Maria Mora—Bogotá, Colombia
Thanks to Maria’s leadership, Oracle Volunteers in Bogotá helped students leverage design and technology to solve local environmental challenges, participated in a craft workshop that brightened the day of children with cancer, and collected gifts for children from underserved parts of the capital.
