Nissan trusts in AuraQuantic to achieve digital transformation

Blog: AuraQuantic Blog

Nissan, one of the largest car manufacturers in the world, has chosen the AuraQuantic low-code platform for process optimization. In addition to being a national and international benchmark, the Japanese group is set apart by its significant level of sales and large production network.

Thanks to the capabilities and agility of a low-code tool like AuraQuantic, Nissan will be able to drive digital transformation throughout all its offices.

“We finally found an economical solution with a flexible payment model / licensing structure”

Kazuko, Assistant Manager in IB4 M&S Intelligent Mobility Services Systems Department

Nissan and AuraQuantic Strategic Process

Nissan was looking for a flexible solution that was capable of a project of such immense dimensions. Previously, they used an application that slowed down their workflow, as user licenses had to be assigned, requiring more time for administration even for users who spent very little time on the platform. In addition, they had to request budget approval to renew the contract with the named-user license, and users had to wait for Global IT to approve the budget and execute an upgrade from the third-party vendor. Furthermore, Nissan wanted to replace many shadow applications and benefit from a platform that enables business  users to  collaborate in application development .

“The concurrent licensing structure provided by AuraQuantic is a good approach for the financial aspect of any organization”

Kazuko, Assistant Manager in IB4 M&S Intelligent Mobility Services Systems Department

Nissan’s objective was clear from the beginning: to have a low-code platform to run multiple applications on a global scale and to empower citizen developers. Therefore, AuraQuantic is a safe choice. Not only is it the leading business software for the rapid and easy design and development of applications, but it also brings great benefits to companies that use it:

  • Cost Optimization for licenses, paying for concurrent usage instead of for each user.
  • Digital transformation thanks to global process automation on a common platform.

To tackle the proposed challenges, AuraQuantic and Nissan’s strategy involves the initial implementation of two different types of processes. Firstly, the work assignment process, where the tasks will be executed to guarantee global development among the different groups of companies through a resource optimization strategy. Secondly, the AuraQuantic Document Management System will be used for the Nissan Europe (Nissan Manufacturing UK and Nissan R&D UK) processes. This AuraQuantic functionality is not an independent application, it is accompanied by a process flow manager that gives the documents additional capabilities, giving them the dynamism that is required for an agile and responsive enterprise.

“We’d love to know more about how we can establish our own governance model based on best practices from other AuraQuantic customers”

Kazuko, Assistant Manager in IB4 M&S Intelligent Mobility Services Systems Department

Nissan Global expects to expand the strategy with AuraQuantic in the future. Kazuko, Assistant Manager in IB4 M&S Intelligent Mobility Services Systems Department, comments: “If the current projects are carried out successfully, we will expand the use of the digital platform to more areas”.
