MediaKind On-Demand Webinar: Professional media evolution to IP
Blog: NASSCOM Official Blog
The transition to internet protocol (IP) networks has been underway in the broadcast industry for some time. However, only recently have standards been defined that allow true interoperability and efficiency that make the switch from Media Industry Specific interfaces, like SDI, to IP a feasible option for migration.
IP networks use internet technology ecosystems that offer more agility and flexibility for broadcasters. In the long run, this means decreased costs, improved bandwidth consumption at higher bit rates, flexibility and improved overall efficiency.
Additionally, IP switches are bidirectional and can manage multiple input and output ports, unlike SDI.
This is a on-demand webinar you will learn about:
- What is meant by “All IP” and how is this fundamentally different from the previous video over IP schemes?
- What does the new professional media over IP infrastructure look like?
- How to leverage on software virtualization and other agile processes?
