What is your biggest accomplishment you are proud of in recent times?

Building a great team at MK- who work passionately to set new goals and who push me to do more, to #BeMore.

Who are some of your role models? What about them do you admire?

I am inspired by the average Indian woman who manages all her roles in life with a smile. Your average maid. Most are main or single breadwinners and they educate their kids in good schools and especially their daughters. They work morning to evening as maids in 3-5 houses but provide all for their kids.

According to you, which women’s “cause” needs to be addressed and changed, first?

Right to education. Good, safe, meaningful education. Not just being a number in a class but teach them to dream.

Mother Teresa – a selfless act to help the needy who were rejected by society. I also think she must have been such a strong-headed single woman to have accomplished what she did coming from a different region and community to come to serve on foreign land.

According to you, which women’s “cause” needs to be addressed and changed, first?

“Safety first”. With so many rises in crime against women, I think we should have stricter laws and create awareness so such thoughts and intentions are feared and controlled.

What is your biggest accomplishment you are proud of in recent times?

I am not the only one who can take credit for this but in recent times – all of us were presented a challenge as we were hit by the pandemic. We were asked to be creative and innovative to do the same job (and more) that we’ve been doing for years. It truly was survival mode. The good part is that we all rose to the challenge and were able to transform our business models and made them a success. That has been an accomplishment.

Who are some of your role models? What about them do you admire?

No one in particular but anyone with confidence, integrity, creativity, and a zeal to accomplish goals – both professional and personal.

According to you, which women’s “cause” needs to be addressed and changed, first?

I feel one of the basic rights to education should be addressed. The good news is that there have been (and are) many initiatives to address this across the world. As I follow some stats around this, only 66% of the countries have achieved gender parity in primary education and the gap widens for secondary education at 45%. So, we have a long way to go.

What is your biggest accomplishment you are proud of in recent times?

‘Starting the inward Journey” – I’ve always been told that I was a deeply introspective person. Back then, I didn’t think much about it, since it came so naturally to me. There was no hesitation or questioning on my part when it came to deciding to use introspection in my daily life. However, I eventually learned this doesn’t come naturally to everyone and that introspection is such a useful skill in the personal development world. If more people were introspective, I feel there would be more love than hate in the world, and that thought is what I anchor onto, what I hope will happen as more and more people discover the world introspection leads you to.

What is your biggest accomplishment you are proud of in recent times?

I learned how to swim! It wasn’t easy to make time to go to a swimming class every day. It also wasn’t easy to let go of my fears but I did it and I am proud of it. Swimming taught me just how important it is to get out of your comfort zone to move ahead. That’s a life lesson I will always value. As a side note, I also learned how to cook and now I can say with Gloria Gaynor’s level of confidence that I Will Survive. 😛

Who are some of your role models? What about them do you admire?

Michelle Obama, Mother Teresa, Lady Diana, Sushmita Sen, and, of course, my mother who is my star! Their lives have taught me to be strong, kind and, believe in myself, and those are the qualities that I admire about them.

According to you, which women’s “cause” needs to be addressed and changed, first?

Unpaid work. The burden of unpaid work (such as cooking, cleaning, child care) falls disproportionately on women because of internalized gender roles and patriarchal norms. We deserve better than that.

According to you, which women’s “cause” needs to be addressed and changed, first?

I think Men and Women ratio should be equal at work place. 53% of top Indian companies have a male to female employee ratio of 10:1 or worse, study claims. If it’s not near to equal then we should learn the reasons and help organizations grow with equal contributions from both genders.

Rashi Agnihotri

Name: Rashi Agnihotri
Role: Manager

What is your biggest accomplishment you are proud of in recent times?

I would not call it an achievement but I feel that I have managed this” new normal” situation that we all have been into since last year Very well. I take pride in getting up every day with the same motivation levels to handle it all together. I have learned to clap for myself and cheer myself up on daily basis. Completing all tasks with 100% dedication gives me a sense of accomplishment. I am so proud of the woman that I have become and congratulate every woman for whatever they do daily.

Who are some of your role models? What about them do you admire?

My mother and my sisters are my role model – the way they have stood up for me in every situation makes me believe the superpowers they have and I look up to them whenever I am a little low. They fill me with positivity and energy to ensure that I never have a Dull moment. They manage their tasks so well and inspire me on daily basis. We all have each other’s back and when I need them they are always there, no matter whatever the situation is. Inspiration begins at home and I am so blessed to have 3 role models – and I can’t imagine myself without them.

According to you, which women’s “cause” needs to be addressed and changed, first?

I believe women safety and security is the issue that needs immediate attention. Women should be able to feel safe in public places, using public transport, etc. I have a small daughter and whenever I read some women’s safety-related information, I get very scared. Women in this country should not be scared of men. In fact for all that women do, they should be given equal respect at all levels instead of harassment that women face. Women should feel safe and that’s a top priority that we should all have as a society.

Who are some of your role models? What about them do you admire?

My biggest role model is definitely – “My Mom” I definitely carry 6 years of experience which made me achieve what I deserve however, its the qualities which I received with my genes :). Confidence, multitasking, patience, presence of mind, interpersonal skills are a few keywords which I use to define not just a good leader but HER.

According to you, which women’s “cause” needs to be addressed and changed, first?

Menstruation is still a taboo and considered to be impure which needs to be changed and seen as normal as any other physical activity around.

trishla

Name: Trishala
Role: AM – Training & Quality

What is your biggest accomplishment you are proud of in recent times?

Fulfilling my mom’s dreams/desire is something I always cherish and consider as my biggest accomplishment. It gives me a sense of content as to be able to do make that one person smile/happy who has spent most of her life, giving me a good life. So recently we (my brother & I) were able to fulfill her long-waited desire of ‘Owning a house’. It has been accomplished recently, and this is something I am proud of.

Who are some of your role models? What about them do you admire?

I am fortunate to be raised by a single, independent, and strong-headed mom who has always taught me to follow my dreams/desires despite thinking how others perceive them. The way she has been conducting her life with utmost confidence and grace is something that has always inspired me since childhood. One of the best lessons of life which I have learned from her is ”loving your family should not be termed as losing your individuality-self respect. You can wholeheartedly love your family but should still never forget to love yourself. & Another strong personality who has inspired me professionally is my very first manager ‘Michelle Marwaha’.I always have looked up to her as an epitome of an excellent manager. Her courage and confidence in taking even the most difficult decision with ease had always wowed me. Out of her other zillion qualities, the one thing which I have admired, learned, and have been my go-to attitude is to spend time on finding solutions rather than talking about problems. This lesson though has been learned professionally but implying the same personally has positively changed my perspective in other life-situation too. Fortunately, it has worked for me.

According to you, which women’s “cause” needs to be addressed and changed, first?

Slowly and gradually, Things are changing in a good way for women but we still have a long way to go as there are a lot of issues that still need to eradicate and some, still need to be addressed. Out of all, I feel there is one thing that we barely talk about is conditioning while growing up. Education begins at home which I imply to say if people around the world are asking for a change of mindset regarding females, then it needs to begin from home. Parents need to take effort to educate kids & practice gender-unbiasedness at home like learning house-hold chores is not just as responsibility of a girl but a boy as well or ensuring a female member also has a similar say on a family discussion like male member or be it refraining from putting cultural pressure on a girl/female, etc. By advocating things as such at home will surely have an impact on kids growing-up and they will tend to have a similar mindset as someone rightly said ‘You become, what you see’.

My role model is my mother. The traits which I admire about her are her unlimited patience, perseverance and a never say die attitude whatever be the situation.

According to you, which women’s “cause” needs to be addressed and changed, first?

A belief of an egalitarian society needs to be instilled in every woman instead of seeking validation and vindication for the same from others and hence do away with gender inequality.
