INCMNSZ achieves greater agility in its business processes thanks to the flow of information in real time

In the wake of the health emergency, we have all had to adapt quickly and face an exceptional reality. In previous articles we discussed how AuraQuantic can facilitate the implementation of remote working. In this article we are going to talk about another specific case study, that of the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Health Sciences and Nutrition (INCMNSZ) and what they have achieved using AuraQuantic.
The INCMNSZ is one of the 12 National
Institutes of Health and High Specialty Hospitals dependent on the Mexican
Ministry of Health. Among its main functions and services are
clinical-epidemiological research, specialized medical care, and teaching
future health professionals. The Institute’s priorities are high-quality
clinical, basic, and epidemiological research, the creation of medical
knowledge, and specialized medical care.
The INCMNSZ has been working with AuraQuantic
since 2015, when AuraQuantic was used to implement a laboratory-confirmed
epidemiological surveillance system, where the behavior patterns of the
different known viruses (including coronaviruses) are recorded.
AuraQuantic has allowed them to share
sociodemographic and clinical information in real time (without personal
identifiers) of the patients who agree to participate in the different studies
carried out by the Institute. Likewise, it has allowed the recording and
monitoring of the results of the biological samples that are sent to the
Institute for processing. Thanks to AuraQuantic, this information is shared by
the different researchers of all participating centers, and is available to all
those who have the appropriate permissions to be able to consult and review the
patient information. “AuraQuantic has not only allowed us to share the results
of the investigations, but has also allowed us to accelerate the report of
laboratory results for their exclusive use in the patients’ clinical records,
thanks to the possibility of automatically generating documents that comment on
the Researchers responsible for the project in the Salvador Zubirán National
Institute of Health Sciences and Nutrition.
In these times of pandemic and a pressing need
for isolation and protection against the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus,
AuraQuantic has enabled the INCMNSZ to continue working in an orderly and safe
manner, protecting both its workers and patients from the different places of
operation in real time, helping in the efforts that the Institute has carried
out since the beginning of the pandemic.
