Group Assignments, Parallel Tasks, UI Improvements and Other Features of ProcessMate 7.0
Blog: ProcessMate
As part of the ProcessMate 7.0 release, we have delivered a number of features. The major two features (actually, groups of features) are:
Apart from those, multiple other features have been delivered:
Parallel task processing
This feature supports defining and executing parallel tasks. Previously, ProcessMate had a simpler concept of tasks always following each other in a simple sequential manner. However as we learned from our customers, many processes do not fit into this paradigm. Some tasks need to be executing in parallel with others. So we introduced parallel tasking. We will describe this feature in details in the upcoming posts.
User Groups and Group Assignments
Another fundamental change in the concept of users and assignments. As we learned from a number of customers, our previous concept of assigning users to tasks does not always work, especially for medium-sized and large organizations. So in ProcessMate 7.0 we introduced User Groups and group-assignments. Not only tasks can be assigned to User Groups now, but they can also be assigned to individual users as previously, or to both users and groups! This adds to the flexibility of the system and allows fine-tuning the task assignment.
General User Interface improvements
A number of smaller UI improvements and bug fixes have been applied.
Ability to brand the UI by adding a customer’s logo
Do you need a logo of your company in a top banner of the user interface? That is now possible. Just contact our support at service@processmate.net and they will take care of that.
Best regards
