Global Capability Centers: Best Practices Compendium in Digital Transformation, Innovation, L&D and Organizational Excellence

Global Capability Centers or GCCs, have long evolved from their delivery-focused and narrow-scoped mandates to emerge as the capability building, innovation fueling, and transformation planning and executing skill houses for their global parents.
In the 2019 GCC Conclave event held on 25 – 26 April, NASSCOM and KPMG came together to highlight GCC capabilities and excellence across four core pillars of performance and value addition to the global organization –
- Digital Transformation Excellence – delivering disruptive, high customer impact solutions and experiences through Tech leadership
- Innovation Excellence – enabling process transformation and rapid-scale product/service innovation with internally empowered teams
- Leadership and Development Excellence – creating an open, honest, trustworthy, developmental organization with self-development as the core DNA
- Organizational Excellence – instituting seamless data, information and goal-sharing, and becoming a significant partner in global decision-making
Amongst 150+ case entries submitted by 75+ GCCs pan-India, and representing most sectors, the awards felicitated five winners in each category.
With this compendium of selected illustrative best practices in each of the four categories of performance, NASSCOM has made an attempt to further showcase the best practices being largely demonstrated by GCCs in India. This compendium has been aggregated after an in-depth analysis of individual use cases to develop aggregate thematic frameworks that present an overall maturity and capability impact view of India GCCs.
