Genting UK Plc Wins a TIBCO Trailblazer “Impact” Award

On October 15 at the TIBCO NOW Tour event in London, Genting UK Plc, one of the largest casino operators in the UK, was honored with the 2015 TIBCO Trailblazer “Impact” Award. The TIBCO Trailblazer Awards recognize individuals and companies who are accomplishing substantial business results using TIBCO technology, demonstrating ingenuity and thought leadership in meeting the demands of the digital consumer.
Genting, part of the Genting Group, was honored for using the TIBCO Fast Data platform to accelerate IT innovation across the business in a collaborative way. In 2014 Genting IT began a transformative integration project bolstered by the TIBCO platform with the goal of enabling the business to remain laser-focused on the customer journey. As a result, Genting IT has become a strategic differentiator for the business and a very strong business partner.
Accepting the award was Chris Ashworth, IT director at Genting. “Our investment in the TIBCO platform has enabled the Genting business to deliver a journey to our customers that would otherwise have been unthinkable,” explains Ashworth. “The TIBCO platform has provided a capability that enables me to have strategic conversations about business capability and strategy without burdening the executive team with technical complexity.”
The TIBCO partnership has enabled Genting to facilitate an event-driven and value-based business offering—the high-end, personalized customer experience that sets Genting UK apart from its competitors. The future for Genting is only getting brighter. In late 2015, Genting UK will leverage the TIBCO Fast Data platform to launch a first-of-its-kind integrated resort destination in the UK, focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
As Ashworth explains, “The TIBCO architecture will underpin the Genting business for the significant future, and our investment will support innovation and strategic change for years to come. It will give us a tangible cutting-edge over our competition.”
As a TIBCO Trailblazer Award winner, Genting UK Plc will become a featured TIBCO reference customer with a new video testimonial and case study to be launched in late 2015.
