Forrester’s Software Development Predictions: 2021

“By year’s end, 75% of development shops will use low-code platforms”

Forrester recently released its Predictions 2021: Software Development, providing insight into the application development and delivery landscape in 2021.

While the report includes a number of predictions, two predictions are particularly relevant to Appian:

  1. The rapid adoption of cloud-native tools and technology for agility, efficiency and responsiveness.
  2. The bounce back of budgets for software modernization.

 Forrester predicts that:

The Appian Low-Code Automation Platform helps organizations build elegant solutions for complex business problems. With a toolkit including Robotic Process Automation (RPA),

Artificial Intelligence (AI), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), workflows, and enterprise integrations, Appian is the only unified platform for rapidly building new apps, extending legacy apps, automating business processes, and developing collaborative workflows.
