Blog: NASSCOM Official Blog
The global automotive industry has been going through tough times over the last few years due to multiple factors – fast-changing customer preferences, demand slowdown, global trade complexities and fierce competition from new age automakers. Technology driven trends such as personalization, autonomous vehicles, connectivity, e-mobility and other smart mobility concepts are significantly disrupting the automotive landscape. The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated the situation as the lockdown impacted travel and hence, automotive sales.
As automotive OEMs and Tier 1 companies navigate through these troubled waters, they are looking at technology solutions from the global capability centers (GCCs) and ER&D service providers to steer them to safe harbor.
With this as the background, NASSCOM ER&D team and NASSCOM Research partnered with Future Factor to work on a whitepaper that showcases how automotive GCCs in India are emerging as Centers of Innovation for their parent organisation.
The whitepaper also includes details of some solutions developed by the India GCCs and impact of these innovations on the parent organisations.
