Mea culpa! You are right, I made an embarrasing mistake. I started with 1000s per week then transposed it to 1000s per month. Tesla is a lot closer to its goal of 500,000 cars per year now that it is generating about 6000 per week. As I reread the article, I find that most of what I said is still valid, but its more likely that conventional process techniques will help the company move from 6000 cars per week to 6500 cars per week, and that would make a major difference.

Tom, thanks very much for pointing this out. I’ll wait till my ears aren’t quite so red and then try another article on this topic and try to get it right.
