Blendtec Sees 50% Increase in E-Commerce Sales Thanks to TIBCO

Blog: The Tibco Blog

From the beginning, Blendtec has been dedicated to culinary innovation.  Founded by inventor and entrepreneur Tom Dickson, Blendtec continues to design and engineer the next generation of kitchen technology. After the Will It Blend? series debuted on YouTube and received over six million views in six days, Blendtec experienced a period of rapid growth. But without integration between its CRM and ERP systems, service teams struggled to help customers solve their problems which lead to higher costs for customers and therefore, unhappy campers. Following its own example, Blendtec pushed itself to innovate and find a solution that would allow for better customer experience and increased business success.

To avoid the inconvenience of looking through multiple systems for information, Blendtec turned to TIBCO Cloud™ Integration and its many pre-built connectors to make the exchange of data between systems easy and to provide real-time data synchronization between the cloud and on-premises applications.

TIBCO Cloud Integration also helped Blendtec better align organizationally by eliminating inefficient processes and opening up access to more complete information. As a result, Blendtec was able to provide service and sales teams with data that greatly improved its customer service operations, allowing reps to process website orders and handle customer inquiries more quickly and accurately.

Real-time insights increase profitability

By sending customers information on their shipments and orders in real time, Blendtec experienced a 50 percent increase in e-commerce sales. Warranty costs have also dropped since product warranties and returns can be tracked more accurately with combined data from both the ERP and CRM systems.

Furthermore, TIBCO Cloud™ Integration has broken down the data silos within Blendtec so that information no longer lives in isolated systems.  For example, sales and inventory data is now pushed into Blendtec’s business intelligence (BI) platform automatically, allowing senior management to analyze KPIs anytime and make better-informed decisions. With real-time visibility into the status of orders and inventory, the sales, shipping, and accounting departments are able to gain a more timely and accurate view of operational performance.

In the future, Blendtec is determined to integrate additional systems into the TIBCO Cloud™ Integration platform and gain additional operational efficiencies. The organization is also looking into implementing API development and IoT tools to further enhance its customer experiences and operational efficiencies. Blendtec will continue to work towards data-driven decision-making by bringing real-time information to more people within the organization.
