ARIS @ IUG: Day 4 – Business as unusual

Blog: Aris BPM Blog

Today, it’s my pleasure to give you a short recap from day 4 of our IUG 2020.

As usual, Pep Rosenfeld kicked-off the day with a barrel of laughs. After a welcome by our user group presidents Pieter Walraven from FrieslandCampina and Stuart Trott from Yara International, we jumped into the first customer presentation.

AGC, a European leader in flat glas, wanted a better view on their customer journeys and decided to make their customers’ live easier. Fabrice Detry, Business Process Owner at AGC, explained why ARIS has been designated as best of class solution, showed the Business Process Platform based on ARIS and shared AGC’s lessons learned. If you ever wondered what an “ARIS war room” is and why it is a great way to align and collaborate on processes, you should watch the recording of this session!

Next, Didier Fernandez and Tom Thaler, both from Software AG hold their session on  Business as unusual with ARIS and explained how ARIS helps companies to overcome challenging times and keep the business on track. The ARIS A4 solution includes filter, database, reports and dashboard and covers the phases “analyze, act, adapt back and achieve resilience” to ensure business continuity. After that, ACHMEA, the largest insurance company in the Netherlands with more than 200 years of experience, gave insights into the Governance of Achmea APIs using ARIS 10 and the ARIS API. Nico Heijnen, Manager Competence Center Integration, and Adriaan Beukema, Integration Solution Architect /Design Authority, both at Achmea, explained how they handled the complex heterogeneous IT landscape that resulted from many acquisitions in the past and how an ARIS 10 repository helped here. Mark Straathof, from our ARIS Partner bQuind, summarized the project: it met the needs of the customer, it was innovative, involved many different ARIS components and was fun to work!”
If you have no glue what Rapper Young D has to do with all this, then you should watch the recording now!

Last but not least, we closed the day with the interactive session on Business as unusual where customers used the chance to ask questions and interact with each other. For those who cannot get enough: the fun drive is still open and kills time before we start with the last day of IUG 2020 tomorrow! There is still time to register for day 5, this also guarantees that you can access all the recorded sessions afterwards.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
