The new ARIS 10 SR24 release comes with some improvements and enhancements for self-service configuration and issue management.

The new self-service configuration makes it easier for administrators to adapt the solution to their individual company needs. This improves their flexibility significantly and lowers TCO as they don’t need to involve external resources and they can save precious time by a shorter change process.

It also improves end user understanding and acceptance as they can better identify with the language used in the tool. The wording and terminology used in the company isn’t always the same as used in the standard tool.

How does it work?

You can configure form attributes, list columns, and list filters easily via the ARIS Administration. You can rename, e. g., attributes in different languages, hide and show them, or reset changes to default values.

Issue management has also been improved by adding a new role for an issue owner who will take on the task of assigning responsible people and defining how to solve issues.

Issues can now just be registered by any user who detects them as a first step in a standard workflow. For example, employees who are part of the 1st line of defense can report issues to address a problem, but they can’t always solve them by themselves or define what measures to take. This will now be done by the issue manager. This person has more options to address further participants (e. g. separate solution design and solution implementation).

Furthermore, the procedure for adding further relevant objects to an issue via the Portal has been improved.

Additional improvements in ARIS Risk & Compliance are

  • Improved handling of database connection outages to improve a company’s resilience
  • Improved fallback capabilities to messages
  • Users can see if there is a valid (current) policy-roll-out in the ARIS Portal and download the current policy document
