Earlier this year, these five solution providers were named “Major Players” in the Magic Quadrant for Robotic Process Automation report by analyst house Gartner, Inc. Our editors have compiled summaries for each.
According to Gartner, “Robotic process automation (RPA) is a productivity tool that allows a user to configure one or more scripts (which some vendors refer to as ‘bots’) to activate specific keystrokes in an automated fashion.” These solutions can help organizations optimize day-to-day organizations by automating repetitive tasks and empowering employees to focus on more significant tasks.
Gartner recently named the following robotic process automation solution providers Leaders in the 2023 version of its 2023 edition of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Robotic Process Automation. The report highlights and scores the top products in the enterprise RPA marketplace and identifies these providers as cornerstones. As we come to the end fo 2023, the Solutions Review editors wanted to look back at these top-rated providers and provide readers with brief summaries of them and their services. 5 Major Players in Robotic Process Automation for 2023
Automation Anywhere
Description: Automation Anywhere provides companies with a cloud-native and web-based platform combining RPA, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and analytics. The provider also offers its Bot Store, the first and largest marketplace with more than 1,200 pre-built, intelligent automation solutions. Its RPA product was recently rebranded as the Automation Success Platform, available on-premises and in the cloud. Alongside the capabilities listed above, the platform’s cloud-native automation offerings also span process orchestration, digital automation assistance, and API capabilities.
Microsoft
Description: Microsoft Power Automate connects with other Microsoft products, enabling users to link new and legacy systems and partner connectors. The Power Automate platform is built on Azure and provides users with cloud-first and API-first automation capabilities, including desktop-based automation tools, API integration, task mining, optical character recognition (OCR), AI, process mining, and IDP. Microsoft Power Automate also empowers all employees to analyze strategies, understand bottlenecks, and gain insights through a guided Process Advisor feature.
NICE
Description: NICE is a Customer Experience (CX) AI Platform for companies across industries. Its Robotic Process Automation offering comprises software robots that can automate unattended processes or directly support employees from their desktops in an attended fashion. Its solution suite includes NEVA Assist, NEVA Unattended, and NEVA Discover, which collectively provide companies with attended automation for global contact centers and process discovery capabilities. NICE’s RPA functionalities can also increase throughput capacity, enabling businesses to achieve ROI targets faster.
SS&C Blue Prism
Description: SS&C Blue Prism provides enterprises worldwide with intelligent automation technology solutions to help users develop a secure, scalable, and intelligent digital workforce. Its Intelligent Automation Platform (IAP) is an RPA solution that integrates with SS&C Blue Prism’s Chorus BPA suite, process intelligence, and IDP capabilities. It can help digital workers eliminate the mundane tasks human workers are often overloaded with managing. Additional capabilities include autonomous software robots, real-time transparency of process performance, drag-and-drop process automation building, Control Room REST APIs, and more.
UiPath
Description: The UiPath RPA Platform allows anyone in an organization to build and use robots. The UiPath Business Automation Platform provides companies with a suite of end-to-end hyperautomation capabilities that cover RPA, AI, NLP, process orchestration, low-code app development, process mining, API automation, IDP, application testing, and task mining.
