4 Things to Know Before Heading to Amplify 2017

Blog: iDatix Blog

GPUG Amplify 2017 is a yearly event that equips end-users with actionable business leader skills and exclusive sessions in reference to Dynamics GP.

It’s going to be chock-full of networking opportunities, educational sessions, and latest solution innovations – and we want you to know all about it. The annual event is taking place at the Marriott Anaheim in beautiful Anaheim, California from March 20-22.

For anyone with Dynamics GP, I highly recommend not missing out on this conference! As an attendee, you have the chance to discuss common issues with other organizations and hear expert advice on how to resolve and optimize your process.

The event is only a few weeks away, so to help you make the most of your time, we’ve compiled 4 things to know before your arrival!

#1: Take Advantage of the Pre-Conference Academy

Avoid getting completely lost by the high-intensity, fast-paced sessions while in Anaheim. As an Amplify registrant, you can dive into some instructor-led classroom training to get the scoop on a wide variety of topics. Even if you’re not very hands-on with Dynamics GP, you can gain extensive knowledge about the tool that will leave you feeling confident for the event.

Click here to go to their Pre-Conference Academy – all courses are to take place the day before GPUG Amplify starts. You’ll be glad you did!

#2: “App” Out Your Session Itinerary

Yes, there’s an app for that! You can access the event-exclusive app for a detailed full schedule, including times for registration, sessions, roundtables, presentations, and more. Experiment, and go to as many as possible! Doing so gives you the biggest bang for your buck, after all.

Some of our favorite session titles that piqued interest include:

  • Naked & Afraid: Dynamics GP Security
  • The Strategic CFO Toolset
  • Service Based Architecture …In Plain English

If you can, be sure to check out the 2 sessions we’ll be presenting:

  • A Client’s Story: Robotic Accounting Automation, presented by Steve Allen (our CEO and Founder)
  • Making Smaller Circles – A Learning Method to Drive Individual Sales Effectiveness, presented by Greg Hauenstein (a Senior Account Manager)

Build out your dream schedule, and connect with other users and exhibitors instantly. The best part? You’ll have WiFi at the hotel, so you’ll never be disconnected, or lacking the data to hop on.

#3: Get Social

No matter what platform(s) your organization uses, you can expand your reach and network by using relevant hashtags and channels. Amplify uses hashtags #GPUGAmplify or #GPUG, so feel free to use them as you navigate and discover insights and takeaways.

Make your presence known! Consider going to a session and live-tweeting the event, or gathering notes to compile into a recap blog post for your organization when you return.

Wanting to contribute your two cents for the event? You can be interviewed if you’re attending! There’s a User Group TV (UGTV) live stream on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:10AM – 4:10PM PST.

#4: Enjoy Anaheim’s Sights & Sounds

This time of year, California usually averages in the 70s-80s, so bring appropriate clothing for the times when you’ll want to explore someplace other than the hotel.

As a GPUG Amplify registrant, you’re eligible for a Disneyland discount, so if theme parks are your thing, you may want to plan a magical day there!

A few other things we recommend doing are:

We look forward to seeing you at Amplify! What are you planning on going to? Let us know in the comments below!
