More than 1000 US newspaper websites are unavailable in Europe, 2 months after the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) took effect on May 25. Websites had two years to get ready for the GDPR. But rather than comply, about a third of the 100 largest U.S. newspapers have instead chosen to block European visitors to their sites.
